This course invites a renewed relationship with the ancient poetics of darkness—understood not as absence, but as the fertile, dreaming ground from which all life and revelation arise. Over three weeks, we turn towards the dark as a living intelligence: wombic, generative, and quietly luminous. Through mythic inquiry, archetypal exploration, and practices of embodied attention, we learn to let the dark reveal what lies beneath the masks of habit, inheritance, and expectation—encountering in its depths the hidden radiance of our most essential self.​

4-WEEK COURSE
​Rooted in the ancient idea of the polytheistic self—the understanding that we are woven from many intelligences, some human, some animal, some divine—this course invites you to uncover the hidden figures that live within. Each week, we will journey through myth, story, and dreamwork to meet one of these inner presences, learning to listen to their wisdom and restore conversation among them.

In a historical imagination shaped by war, conquest, and the lives of kings, one question echoes: Where were the women?
This series begins to trace their presence—those who once served as oracles, healers, and keepers of the old mysteries across ancient Eurasia. Blending lecture and experiential practice, these sessions invite participants to enter the mythic worldview of these early women, exploring how their ways of knowing and tending the world continue to speak through us today.

THE MELISSAE PRIESTESSES​
3-MONTH PROGRAM
Drawing on Gabriela’s fieldwork and research for her dissertation The Bee Cult in Greek Myth and Ancient History, this course follows the lineage of the Melissae—the bee priestesses of the ancient Aegean—through time. Beginning with the late Roman persecution of the old pagan orders and descending into the Bronze Age, we trace the fading trail of women who once served as oracles, healers, and keepers of a sacred order.
Each session uncovers fragments of their world—their myths, symbols, rites, and cosmologies—revealing how their honeyed vocation once bound the human and the divine. Through mythic study and contemplative practice, we listen for what their wisdom still carries through the centuries.
